What about Christmas in September?
You may have heard about our annual Christmas Airlift, when we deliver Christmas gifts to poor children in remote locations. We call it Christmas in September, because that’s when we begin collecting and processing gifts. It’s a big job, so we have to start early! We welcome gifts from all types of donors, large and small. Then, we collect them, sort them, and pre- pare them to be loaded onto airplanes for delivery. And then, the airlift starts! Our all- volunteer pilots journey to remote areas all over the South- west, bringing the joy of Christmas to kids who may never have experienced it. We’re grateful for the gifts we’ve received already, but we could still use more. Toys, games, soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, and other sports equip- ment— they’re all welcome.
