Christmas Airlift Deliveries Begin
December 1st. We seek your prayers, support and encouragement as this year is a really big year for the Airlift and a great chance to reach a child with the message of the Christ Child.
Monthly Breaksfast in November is the 15th
Meet us at Carrow's Restaurant on Main St. in Corona at 0900. We will have a guest speaker, our own Jon Prince, who will remind us of some of the challenges of winter flying! Jon recently completed his master's thesis on this subject at the esteemed Embry-Riddle University.
Unto the Least of These, Unto Me
“I was naked and you clothed me.”
Those haunting words of Jesus refer to our works of mercy toward “the least of these my brothers.” When we show compassion to those the world has forgotten, we minister to the Lord Himself. With the help of some wonderful individuals and companies, Wings of Faith is doing just that.
Stussy Clothing, Gleanings, Feed the Children, and Obey Clothing are just some of the companies that have made generous clothing donations to Wings of Faith. Their gifts of practical, good-quality items are already blessing people across the country.
Here’s how pastor Alan Eakin of our East Coast chapter put it:
“When Theresa picked up the first piece of clothing she held it to her face and smelled it, saying,’ Praise the Lord, this smells new!’ I was so pleased to say, ‘It is new.’”
Thanks to all who helped us clothe the naked in Jesus’ name!
Christmas Airlift 2014, Thousands to be Reached!
What about Christmas in September?
You may have heard about our annual Christmas Airlift, when we deliver Christmas gifts to poor children in remote locations. We call it Christmas in September, because that’s when we begin collecting and processing gifts. It’s a big job, so we have to start early!
We welcome gifts from all types of donors, large and small. Then, we collect them, sort them, and prepare them to be loaded onto airplanes, trucks and cars for delivery.
And then, the airlift starts! Our all-volunteer pilots and drivers journey to remote areas all over the Southwest, bringing the joy of Christmas to kids who may never have experienced it.
We’re grateful for the gifts we’ve received already, but we could still use more. Toys, games, soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, and other sports equipment—they’re all welcome. We’ll be receiving donations through November and into December.
Of course, donations of money allow us to purchase gifts ourselves and buy fuel. So, they’re needed too!
The Christmas Airlift is always a race against time. As winter closes in, the harsh weather makes it harder to deliver gifts. This year God has provided for much cold weather clothing , which will be distributed along with the Christmas goodies! Our God is GREAT!

Hangar Project, Major Progress!
Almost There!
We’re excited to report that our hangar project in Holbrook, Arizona is nearing its goal! The city of Holbrook has generously given us the land; now all we need is the remaining funds to start building.
This distribution center will allow our volunteer pilots to drop supplies off at a central location. We’ll have lots of space to store supplies until they can be distributed to the remote locations where our missionaries serve. We hope it will include a cold storage unit to keep food fresh.
We estimated that the project would cost $80,00 to $100,000, and we’ve already raised $49,000. So we only need $31,000 to move forward! But it’s important that we start as soon as possible. We have been blessed for several years now to have access to a small Holbrook city building to use as a warehouse. This may change in early 2015 and we may need to have a hangar "online" sooner rather than later!
Thanks to all who have helped this worthwhile project get going! And we’re praying for the remainder of the funds we need.
Obey Clothing Comes Thru AGAIN!
Just in time to fill the needs of some of the older children that we serve, Obey Clothing, http://ww.obeyclothing.com , called us with some great news, they had some wallets to donate. And donate, they did, to the tune of hundreds of these nice leather wallets! Our faithful warehouse crew jumped at the chance and they are now on pallets, waiting for timely delivery at Christmas Airlift!
