Relief Effort to Yuma and the Baja Peninsula
Thanks to many of our partners, not the least of which is Gleanings for the Hungry, (see gleanings.org) WOF was able to share about 8,000 lbs of food and clothes to the people near the US Border. Alex Montoya is one of God's very faithful servants and has a heart for those who are in need. As you know, the Baja peninsula and border areas have been ravaged by storms this summer and people are displaced, without clothes and hungry. WOF is blessed to be a blessing when these disasters strike as well as meeting every day needs and this was no different. Last week, WOF was able to fill a 26 foot box truck and move the contents to Yuma for careful distribution by Alex and his staff.
Christmas Airlift 2014
Yes, Virginia, there is a Christmas Airlift, bigger and better than ever in 2014! We are still in need of toys/games for older kids like sports equipment and educational games like Skip-Bo and Uno, etc. Basketballs, soccer balls, footballs are all very much needed for good recreation and fun. If you would like to offer up some toys and such, give us a call or shoot an email. Also, we can provide you with a barrel to set up at church or work or wherever you think might be appropriate. Of course we need $$ to help in the delivery and to purchase any gaps we have in the toy box. see http://www.flywithwings.org
WORKING IN THE WOF WAREHOUSE
The reason for the season is the birth of our Savior. Each toy gets a tag that clearly spells this out in English or Spanish as appropriate. We delight in sharing this "Good News" with as many as possible this time of year as well as spreading some good old fashion love and joy!

AOPA Fly-In and Aircraft Spruce Offer Great Venues
In the last 30 days, we have had two great opportunities to share our faith, vision and mission with the aviation community and beyond at the Chino AOPA Fly-In and the Aircraft Spruce Annual Parking Lot Sale. The AOPA event yielded over seventy(70) new contacts for WOF and we talked with hundreds more about the mission that we have and how we serve those in need across many miles. Our trusty Cessna 206 was on display with a "mock" example load of support items for our missionaries.
The crowd at the Aircraft Spruce event was more of a local group, many people knew of us but we gathered some new contacts and met some old friends. We feel that it is very important to maintain a presence in the local aviation community and shed some "loving light" in a dark world.
