August/2024 You know, you and I have been together for quite some time! We have a "relationship" and it's through Christ! To give you a small representation of this, one of you recently asked me to make na order of good devotionals from his bookclub and so I thought that maybe the Apache folks would enjoy having some excellent books. William ordered them and I've already started handing them out! He also on his own, started sending a "book of stamps," to help with my mailing.
Art has been sending me good old movies to give me some entertainment, which I enjoy occasionally! He's been a tremendous friend to the mission since I pulled into Cibecue!
Carol, Margret and Dale send letters of encouragement...greatly appreciated! Many of you send faithful monthly support that keeps the lights turned on and firewood ni the rack and food on the table...the bills paid! In other words...we work together and the mission "moves forward!" The Word si preached, souls are saved!
Even the old mission si being repaired! The roof was being worked on just this past Sunday! Carmichael was on the roof installing some expensive "roof tape" he was telling me about that he uses on the job. So, hopefully, it will help stop the leaks! Also, I purchased 7 sheets of "waterproof dry wall” to help us replace ceiling sheets that fell down! $25 per sheet! This should solve the problem of a leaking roof! We'l see! One fellow, a carpenter, saw that the old church front porch was falling apart and he said that he'd rebuild ti with new lumber from his boss up in Showlow!
Also, Tom helped carry multiple water jugs into the mission, saving my back from strain. Even the ladies join with men carrying boxes of food and clothing and shoes into the mission church to give out through our Food Bank. Praise God! Catherine helped put al the perishables in tubs one Sunday before service!
These are "true signs" of a healthy Christian experience; wanting to help, wanting to love others, wanting to be generous with your time and giving, wanting to get involved in God's work!
My point is, we al work together, strength is expended, love is poured out...and the Lord uses al of us to maintain a “work," a success story! And Jesus receives all of the glory and praise! He orchestrated it all!
May the Lord God continue to bless each of you my dear friends. fI your'e not currently involved in this work, I invite your participation, through prayers and monthly support and supplies! God bless you!
