Tammara is one of our students that has been in and out of our school over the last 6 years. On Monday May 20, 2024, she made the decision to surrender her life to Christ and on Wednesday May 22, 2024, she was baptized in our pool. In Mathew 28:19-20 Jesus commissions believers to do something. We are to make disciples everywhere. He also instructs us on how we are to do this, by baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything He commanded. When a student at AICM comes to us wanting to follow Jesus, we are diligent in explaining that Jesus requires total surrender. They must be remorseful of their sin and turn from their old ways and put their faith in Christ alone for salvation. We then teach them about baptism and have them put this new faith in action and identify with Christ through His baptism. We have them commit to long term discipleship by meeting at least once per week with one of our staff, or an approved AICM volunteer, to build a strong foundation to support them as they seek God in navigating life. Please celebrate with us for this victory and keep Tammara in your prayers that she would, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
