A Very Thankful Young Man

A Very Thankful Young Man

This year my grandson started high school. I was excited to wait and listen to hear his review of his first day and experience at a new school.
I waited for the phone call...
And I waited to hear all about it.... nothing.
So, I called and asked.
How was school?
He says it's okay...
He’s not very excited.
I think maybe it wasn't a good experience.
First week of school passed by and I hope after this week we will have better reviews.
He's quiet with solemn, thoughtful gazes.
Then his mom tells me, he said he sees you at school every day, everywhere.
I didn't understand.
My grandson has accompanied me as I pick up donations from Wings of Faith in Holbrook AZ.  He volunteers alongside me as we distribute to those in need. As a cancer survivor at 15 he gives back by helping others. He told his mom his day starts by seeing all the children stand beside the roads at bus stops wearing the back packs he helped distribute.
He gets to school and again they wear the clothing he helped grandma to give to them. In the hallways he hears the bustle of hope for the youth.
Lunch time is filled with laughter and smiles encouragement to finish the day.
I see grandma everywhere because she loves them as she gives to them.
They have backpacks, clothes, but it's not just that she gave them a
Smile
Hope
Love.
That's my grandma.
I now understood. With a tearful eye I turned to share my thankfulness to Wings of Faith who made it all possible.
Thank you, WOF
Thank you, STUSSY
Thank you, OBEY
Thank you for the backpacks.
Thank you for the clothing
Thank you to WOF TEAM.
Thank you, God!
