Every year as the summer approaches, we here at Gleanings begin to make preparations in order to have a successful season. With changes in staff and fewer summer staff applicants, the months leading up until now have been a period of exercising trust and relying on God to provide the right people at the right time. With the departure of our plant manager, the plant operations will be under the leadership of former summer staff members, Amy Ingermanson, Michelle Dietz, and Noey Brisco. We are honored to have them work alongside us, not only because of their knowledge and capabilities, but also for their hearts for our ministry. They are committed to this labor of love. Our desire is that everyone who comes through this summer will be blessed. The selected theme for the fruit season, which reflects this desire, is drawn from Numbers 6:24-26 , “The LORD bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” Our hospitality department has even made special, time-intensive preparations to demonstrate this desire. We believe everyone who serves will be blessed this summer.
