Gleanings Newsletter August 2015

Due to a new air quality bill, having taken effect at the beginning of the year, we realized it was time to upgrade our truck. We were told our truck was too old and would require investing approximately $20,000 into parts. After much thought, the leadership team decided that a new truck was a better long-term investment than a short five-year fling. Our staff began praying for a new truck around the beginning of May. Fundraising started, and within three weeks we had $36,000 and the paperwork underway. As the truck came in, the Gleanings’ staff was excited to see that things had moved so quickly. We were proud to see our new truck on the road heading out to pick up the first load of peaches. It was an answer to prayer to have the truck in time for the beginning of the fruit season. Our God is so good!
